Define AP Properties

 

Users can change or define the access points on the WLAN deployment with ease. Click on the AP on the deployment or right click on the deployment tree, the AP menu pops up as below

 

Then click "AP Summary" in the AP drop down menu, the setting windows for AP properties pops up as below

 

Define the AP properties by Standard AP properties.

WiTuners support standard properties for 802.11a/b/n/g/ac with customizable 11ac and 11n parameters, the antenna directional properties also can be customized.

Usually, we define the AP properties by clicking Setting Bar (shown as above image) at top of AP properties windows from left to right components as shown above.

 

1. Select AP band from 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz

When AP band selected, at left side of AP Band in Setting Bar will be only shown in available properties for the band selected.

 

2. Define the AP PHY Type

 

Click on the AP combo box as shown above, it is at the top of AP properties windows, it provides a AP properties list for the 2.4GHz or 5GHz.

 

3. Select a data rate

When clicking on the rate combo box, the all of available rate will be displayed in the drop down menu.

4. Define Antenna properties.

Click on "Antenna" button in the Setting Bar, the antenna setting windows pops up as below

You can define the simple directional antenna by typing into the parameters, or by your own antenna either. if you select "Define Your Own Antenna Pattern, the Antenna Pattern Editor will be popped up as below

 

5. Define 11n or 11ac parameters.

Click on "11n parms" or "11ac parms"  button in the Setting Bar.

Define the AP properties by Vendors

WiTuners provides access point properties for products of Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus and Huawei. When clicking on   in top setting bar, and select a vendor name, all of AP list from the vendor will be displayed in the menu:

For example, when Cisco on clicked, the whole available product list of Cisco AP is shown as above. users can select a type of AP, then all of parameters for AP configuration for the vendor's AP will be set in the AP properties. All of configuration for vendor APs come from Vendor's website.
